wow. they finally caught saddam. my heart goes to all of the iraqui people... i can't even imagine what a relief this must be for them. i watched the press conference live this morning... when they showed the video footage of him, bearded, dissheveled, getting examined by a doctor... and all of the iraqui press in the room jumped up and cheered at the images... i got totally misty-eyed. i am so happy for them.

total topic switch... went to the movies last night, and all i have to say is, "school of rock" RAWKS! wonderful movie, both uplifting and laugh-your-ass-off funny. i am buying the DVD the day it's released. *grin*

off to a holiday brunch... thank god it's at 11am, because we are getting ANOTHER nor'easter this afternoon! 3 to 6 inches of snow, rain, and slush. blecch. i haven't even done my laundry from last weekend's storm... what the hell am i going to wear to shovel the car out??? perhaps i'll just lock myself indoors and play the sims until the thaw...

well, here we are again, another nor'easter. not as much snow as last weekend, but the roads are going to slick over something fierce. it turned to ice about an hour ago... you can hear it hitting the windows: tink tink tink...

i think i'm getting a cold. that'll be a great way to start my monday -- a cold, and icy roads. it's great being a sales rep.

went to a really nice brunch today for a few hours. as usual, i was the first person to arrive. i'm such a dork that way. it was great to see everyone, and i stuffed myself full of carbs (big no-no, but hey, it was this awesome decadent homemade mac & cheese!). although i'm a bit disappointed in myself... there was a good chunk of time when i totally dominated the conversation in the kitchen, with a big group of people. like, every time someone said something, i had to jump in with a witty comment or my "expertise" on something. it's one thing to be conversant and entertaining... but i was a complete boor. i think it's the sales rep training -- make conversation at all costs... be charming and a good conversationalist... when i really should LISTEN to everyone instead. add that to the new year's resolution list -- don't hog the conversation!

i've been putting off my work all day. gotta get to my weekly reports, they're due at midnight. then up at 5am to chip the ice off the car. blecch.
