swingchickiehome again after another business trip! it's SO good to be back, albeit with the last vestiges of this cold/asthma combo and ears that still won't pop from my flight (it's been 6 hours. ow.)... and now i get to prepare for this massive snowstorm that's supposed to blow through on saturday. i'm actually looking forward to it, and wondering if there's a safe place i can finally bust out my sled around here (read: the hill on this property leads down to the highway). i'm thinking some sledding, then a bubble bath and cocoa... absolute heaven. THAT'S the way to spend a saturday!
i finally made plans for valentine's day. i decided to do something that was as removed from the thought of romance as possible... i'm attending a local mensa event. *grin* it's just dinner at a local restaurant, it'll get me out of the house for a couple of hours and it can't hurt to meet some of the folks in this chapter.
on the love front, however, i signed up for eharmony. again. i know, i hated it when i did it last year in boston... but i figure what the hell, i'll cancel in 3 months if the prospects are as awful down here as they were up there. *shrug*
lastly... i'm throwing this out to all of you... i'm creating a friends subgroup for me to post about my work towards losing weight/getting healthier again. i don't want to post it to my regular friends list, because i don't want to assume that everyone wants to hear me bitch every day or so about going to the gym and all. but if you'd like to be on the list (read: would be willing and able to offer support, and feel free to bitch right back), then just reply to this and let me know. i could use all the help i can get.
