swingchickiesick again. *cough, wheeze* i've had a nasty cold since saturday morning... instead of having a leisurely weekend painting with my new acrylics set, i've been laid out on the couch, drinking vanilla tea and feeling like crap.
yesterday i went out for a quick walk, 'cause i couldn't stand beeing cooped up anymore. just going a few blocks was exhausting, but i needed the fresh air. i just love the area i live in... if i worked here, i'd never have to leave, because iwithin a 3-block radius is everything you could want:
3 coffee shops
the subway station
an old diner
4 pizza joints, 2 chinese restaurants, and 2 indian restaurants
an italian bakery
an old bookstore
an old movie theatre that does second-run movies for $5
the best BBQ joint in boston
an ice cream shop with their own homemade hot fudge and homemade whipped cream
2 video stores
2 used CD shops and several gift shops
2 places to get vintage clothes
a cool bar/club to see live music, that has a kick-ass sunday blues brunch
an excellent irish pub
2 nail salons, my hair salon, and a massage place
why would i ever want to live anywhere else????
