swingchickieharry connick jr. was on the today show this morning... he flew in to new orleans after the hurricane, to see what needed to be done... and i started to cry as he described how awful the conditions are down there. the worst part of it was the desperation in his voice... he was like, "there's no cars on the roads, our van made it to the stadium with no problem... so why aren't there truckloads of water there to help these people out?" cars can get there, yet people are having seizures and going into delirium from no water or food.
tell me why it has taken our president almost a week to go down south to visit the areas devastated by hurricane katrina. what the hell is he thinking??? these are the people who voted for you, you jerk... go help them.
