battle of the vices
Aug. 15th, 2005 10:04 pmi've been kinda stressed over the whole monkey thing... over the last 2 weeks, she has not eaten more than one bite of food a day, and half of that she's barfed up later. seriously, i look at her and marvel that she's still alive. but she's acting fine, a bit tired but still purry and slurpy and talky. hrm.
so, i needed something to perk myself up this evening. it started out being food therapy -- dinner was ice cream (low-fat) and chips (not low-fat)... before i ate the whole thing and blew up like a balloon, i headed out for retail therapy instead. it was fun... i spent 2 hours in target, just wandering the aisles and seeing what new stuff they had. i tried on a bunch of stuff for fun (low-rise jeans... eek), priced out new sheets that i might get later, peeked at CDs and DVDs. i was a good girl though, i just got a few things i needed, like cat food and bras. boring.
while i was shopping, a girl stopped me as i walked past and was like, "i really like your tattoo". i guess i must have bent over at some point and she saw it. oops! but it was cool, we started talking about tattoos (she's scared to get one) and her 2 friends walked over and joined in the convo (they both have 'em). i felt like i was part of some secret club. *grin*
off to watch "miami ink"... nitey nite, all!
