i have to say, i've been darn good over the last 4 days. i'm PMSing like a mo-fo, and have yet to eat an entire bag of M&Ms or a pint of ben & jerry's. today was especially hard because i was in a meeting all day... and for my company, meeting=FOOD. scones and muffins at breakfast... baby ruth candy bars, peanuts, and cotton candy on the tables (it was a baseball theme)... pasta at lunch... bowls of candy and soft pretzels for a mid-afternoon snack. i was a good girl though, i drank tons of water, had some fruit at breakfast (i ate a safe breakfast at home before i went there), ate some peanuts whenever the candy on the table beckoned, stayed away from the pasta at lunch and had chicken and green beans instead. mid-afternoon i got ravenous, and i ate 5 M&Ms. but compared to the 3 baby ruth minis and pasta and rice and handfuls of cotton candy i would have normally had, i'm patting myself on the back for the 5 M&Ms.

working out is a challenge too. getting up at 5 this morning was painful, but i felt good when my workout was done. yesterday was a brisk walk, and then mat work at home (i bought a yoga mat so i'd have no excuses). tomorrow is a trainer workout at 6am, then swing dancing in the evening. i need to mix things up, or i'm going to get bored.

last challenge? not weighing myself. i absolutely believe i shouldn't weigh myself right away, but god the temptation is so strong... i'm used to weighing myself at least twice a day! i'm looking forward to my clothes getting a bit looser, so i have some measure of results...
