decadent day

today was a day to do absolutely nothing, and enjoy the heck out of it. it was a rainy saturday, and i had nowhere to be. i slept in until around 8:30 (late for me), and took a long hot bubble bath with a cup of coffee and my new nancy drew book. i finished the book by the time D woke up at noon, and we spent the afternoon talking, watching cheesy before-and-after tv ("pimp my ride" and "moving up"), and futzing around with his computer.

i have a homemade bourbon pecan pie in the oven for after dinner (fettuccine with artichokes and toasted hazlenuts). the whole house smells like pie. yummy yum yum.

*happy sigh*.
