i am slowly kicking the ass of this nasty stomach thing. i spent most of yesterday sleeping, frankly i'm amazed that my body was able to sleep that much. drank little sips of watered-down gatorade to stay hydrated, and by evening i was able to heat up one of the cans of chicken noodle soup that mom had dropped off, and keep half of it down.

btw, can someone explain campbell's chicken noodle soup to me? there are 2 little bits of chicken in there, and an entire salt lick. seriously, all i tasted was salt. horrendous. i don't remember it being that salty from when i was a kid... eek.

my big problem now is the sore muscles. everything, EVERYTHING hurts. my back, stomach, teeth, head, and my CHEST... oh god, this morning i woke up feeling like someone was squeezing my chest and back with a vice. ow. i finally had to brave it and take an advil (you're not supposed to take pain meds with a bad stomach because it can make the tummy worse), because the pain was so bad. it's brought everything down to a dull roar, thank god.

so. another day of calling in to meetings and sleeping on the couch in-between. woo. but i have a feeling this'll be kicked by tomorrow... *crossing fingers*

boy: do you need me to pick up anything on my way over?
me: yeah, could you get me ANY soup but campbell's chicken noodle in the red can?
boy: getting sick of it, huh?
me: i'm keeping it down, but it's soooo salty!
boy: yeah, even though it's condensed, no matter how much you water it down it's still nasty.
me: wait... CONDENSED???
boy: sure... what, did you just eat it straight???
me: *running to the kitchen to look at the label of my one remaining can*
me: OH my GOD... this is condensed soup!!!
boy *cracking up*
me: when i saw that the can was 2 and 1/2 servings, i thought that was way too many for this little can! now i get it!!!
boy: i can't believe you ate it without adding a can of water!!!!
me: oh god... did i mention i'm in mensa?
boy: not any more, you're not!!!

*gag* no wonder i thought it was too salty. maybe i should read the label before i go heating something in the microwave.
